Event: Lenten Tenebrae Prayer Service
Please join us in person or via livestream for a Tenebrae Service. With emphasis on the contrast between the darkness of Christ's suffering and death and the brilliance of Easter glory, light plays a large part in the presentation. Candles are gradually extinguished and, with the church in total darkness, a symbolic representation of the earthquake that followed Christ’s death sounds. To conclude the service, the Christ candle is brought to the altar, signifying the return of Christ to the world in His Resurrection.

Event: The Shroud of Turin Replica Exposition and Presentation
Join us at the National Centre for Padre Pio for a prayerful and grace-filled Holy Saturday as we pray the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary. Following the Rosary, using a life-size replica of the Shroud, Mr. Massimo Paris will offer a presentation on the Shroud of Turin based on his life-long study and research. There is no cost to attend this event; however, free will offerings are always welcomed and gratefully accepted.

Calling all young men in Grades 6, 7, and 8! You are invited to gather with your peers at the Brothers of Borromeo Vocation Camp (B.B.V.C.)! The Vocation Office for the Diocesan Priesthood and Philadelphia seminarians are hosting this awesome one-day camp. With proper COVID-19 precautions in place, such as social distancing and mask-wearing, we are planning for an exciting in-person event! Held at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, the day includes great activities, talks, opportunity for confession, prayer, and lunch. This year’s theme is “Speak Lord, for your Servant is Listening”.

Event: (VIRTUAL) Jesus’ Mercy and the Healing Power of the Sacrament of Reconciliation
ALL ARE INVITED! Catholic speaker, and St. Joseph (Aston, PA) parishioner, John Kinuthia, will share his experience of Jesus’ Mercy and how each of us can encounter and nurture our personal relationship with Jesus through His Divine Mercy and the sacrament of Reconciliation. Jesus spoke to St. Faustina revealing his Divine Mercy and Love, and His desire to pour out His Mercy upon all who seek it. “Tell My daughter, that I am Love and Mercy itself. When a soul approaches Me with trust, I fill it with such an abundance of graces that it cannot contain them within itself, but radiates them to other souls” (1074). To kick off the evening, George Covell (St. Joseph Parish Catholic Christian Outreach (CCO) participant), will share his short testimony of how Jesus has made a difference in his life.

Event: Archdiocesan Novena to St. Joseph
(To be prayed on the 19th of each month from March 19-November 19, 2021)
The Archdiocesan Novena to Saint Joseph can be prayed in any setting, especially before or after Holy Mass and/or at parish meetings, in the classroom and in the family home. The praying of this Novena is to unite everyone in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia on the 19th of each month, from March through November 2021, in single petition of confident prayer to the Lord through the heavenly intercession of Saint Joseph. Please keep in mind the monthly Archdiocesan intention, found on page 4 of the Novena below.
