Collegium Institute invites you to join us for this Ars Vivendi Arts Initiative conversation on Thursday, June 2, on Zoom. We will be joined by a painter, a poet, a sculptor, and a writer, in a conversation moderated by the managing director of this Initiative, Jess Sweeney, an artist and writer herself. The panel, featuring Lee Nowell-Wilson, Chiyuma Elliott, David J. Event: Archdiocesan Charismatic Pentecost Vigil Mass
Description: An extended Pentecost Vigil Mass will be celebrated at 5:15 by Reverend G. Dennis Gill, along with Fr. Rafal Walczy,OSPPE, who is the new Archdiocesan Delegate to the Charismatic Renewal in Philadelphia. An hour of Prayer and Praise accompanied by charismatic music will follow at 8PM. Afterwards, Reverend Gill will dedicate the entire Archdiocese of Philadelphia to the Holy Spirit, and there will be prayer teams available for individual prayer. All ages and families are welcome!

Join Collegium Institute and Dappled Things for our online Global Catholic Literature Seminar on Georges Bernanos’s The Diary of a Country Priest. Bernanos’s classic novel is a powerful reflection on the trials, boredom, and grace of a priest in rural France. In this seminar, we will explore the text’s depictions of the difficulties of religious life in the modern world but also how hard it is to live out a transcendent orientation in the midst of the mundane. Featured speakers include Raymond MacKenzie, professor of English at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota, Natalie Morrill, Dappled Things’ fiction editor and author of The Ghost Keeper, and Trevor Merrill, literary theorist and author of Minor Indignities.

Event: World Youth Day / Portugal & Poland
July 26th thru August 7th, 2023
Join us in a World Youth Day pilgrimage to Portugal and Poland. We encounter the youth of the universal Catholic Church and see the Holy Father. This worldwide encounter is open to all those 16 years through 35. We will see the Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camps, visit the cell of St. Maximillian Kolbe and pray with St. Theresa Benedict of the Cross, (Eith Stein.) We will also visit Wadowice, the hometown of Pope St. John Paull II, explore Krakow and the beautiful churches, as well as making a trip to the Shrine of Divine Mercy, the convent of St. Faustina and the Pope St. John Paul II Shrine. After this we will travel to Lisbon to celebrate World Youth Day, (week,) with young people from all countries around the world. We will also spend a day visiting and praying at the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima.

Event: Malvern Archdiocesan Charismatic Retreat
Description: In conjunction with the Archdiocesan Office for Catholic Charismatic Renewal the Malvern Retreat house will present Fr. Joseph Ita-Sam, CM, Kathleen McCarthy, and Gloria Coyne at it's annual charismatic retreat. This is an in-person retreat open to men and women, and the cost is $270 per person. Registration is required. This year’s theme is the “Power of the Believers” “We will have powerful teachings including Using your Spiritual Gifts and Intercessory Prayer.
