The Archdiocese of Philadelphia is thrilled to welcome the apostolate Christ in the City (christinthecity.org), whose mission is to form young adult Catholic missionaries and send them out into the streets to encounter the poor and show them how much they are loved. In August, a group of Christ in the City missionaries moved to St. John Cantius convent in NE Philadelphia to begin their new mission. This is the first time that Christ in the City has branched out beyond their home in Denver, CO. We are blessed to have them!

Discovering Christ
Regional Course
All are invited to join a seven-week experience known as Discovering Christ. This series has helped many come into a deep, meaningful encounter with Jesus that leads to a personal relationship with Him. Discovering Christ is for anyone and everyone, from the baptized in the pews to the unbaptized person who has never entered a church. Weekly sessions include a free dinner, prayer time, a short inspiring video, and small group discussion.

Held each Thursday between 9 am and 5 pm in Sacred Heart Chapel at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, Catholics are invited to spend time before our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament praying for vocations and ask Him to bless His Church with many holy vocations.
