The Archdiocese of Philadelphia is thrilled to welcome the apostolate Christ in the City (
), whose mission is to form young adult Catholic missionaries and send them out into the streets to encounter the poor and show them how much they are loved. In August, a group of Christ in the City missionaries moved to St. John Cantius convent in NE Philadelphia to begin their new mission. This is the first time that Christ in the City has branched out beyond their home in Denver, CO. We are blessed to have them!
Join us in welcoming these young missionaries who are in pursuit of holiness and living the call of the new evangelization! Here's how you can learn more and help:

Discovering Christ is for anyone and everyone, from the baptized in the pews to the unbaptized person who has never entered a church. Event: Virtual World Mission Rosary
Join hundreds of people throughout the Archdiocese who have regularly been praying the ROSARY LIVE! United in this most powerful prayer, we ask for the miraculous intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary to hear our intentions and renew our Catholic faith as we pray in unity for our brothers and sisters in mission lands world-wide. On Mission Mondays, we pray the World Mission Rosary, created by Venerable Fulton Sheen, in which we offer each decade for one of five Mission areas, including the US.

The Diocese of Pittsburgh warmly welcomes people of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to join them to pray the Rosary Tuesday evenings via Zoom for the conversion of loved ones.
Fr. Joe Freedy (Diocese of Pittsburgh) will lead the traditional Rosary followed by the Litany to Our Lady of Victory (OLV) which includes a special prayer for conversions.

Event: Philly Adoration for Vocations
Held each Thursday between 9 am and 5 pm in Sacred Heart Chapel at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, Catholics are invited to spend time before our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament praying for vocations and ask Him to bless His Church with many holy vocations. We encourage everyone to pray that those whom the Lord is calling will have the courage to respond to His invitation. To sign up for a day/time to pray, visit
