Proclaim the Beauty and Goodness of Marriage
Nothing is more natural and innate than our awareness of the beauty and "fittingness" of the permanent, lifelong relationship of man and woman in marriage. And yet, our society seems to have forgotten its memory and some are attempting to eradicate our most basic instincts about marriage. The Humanum videos are a series of six 15-minute videos capturing the splendor of the complementarity of man and woman and the marriage relationship. It is designed to present the truth by means of beauty, the kind of beauty that resonates deep within the heart and "unlocks" our memory of the truth. The great news is that these videos are available for viewing for
and can be easily shared with others. Find Humanum at the link below and share them with others as a way to start a meaningful, memory-jogging conversation!
Hope in Christ: Spiritual Support for Addiction
We are pleased to share with you a new resource to assist families and individuals who are struggling with addiction to find the spiritual support they need from our local Church. It is a webpage called “Hope in Christ: Spiritual Support for Addiction” and can be found at
As you know, opioid addiction has reached epidemic proportions and rates are especially high in the state of Pennsylvania. In addition, pornography addiction is destroying marriages at an alarming rate. Addiction, no matter what form it takes, is causing much suffering in the lives of many of our Archdiocesan families and they are looking to the Church for hope and help.
The Hope in Christ webpage will serve as a centralized location where our families can find the spiritual support they need in their time of suffering. We will be posting events and resources being offered by our parishes and local ministries who are extending spiritual assistance to individuals and families struggling with addiction.
