Event: Mass and Healing Service at Saints Simon & Jude Church
Saints Simon & Jude Charismatic Renewal Prayer Group eagerly invites all to attend a Mass and Healing Service at our parish.
Confessions will begin at 6:00 pm with the recitation of the Rosary. The Holy Mass will be at 7:00 pm. Fr. Kenneth Omeke will be the chief celebrant. Fr. Chris Walsh is the guest speaker. Adoration will follow. There will be intercessory prayer teams available. Music is by Mark Griswold. A display of relics from Blessed Carlo Acutis will be presented.

Event: Display and Veneration of Ancient Relic of St. Jude the Apostle
This ancient relic of St. Jude Thaddeus, the Apostle of the Impossible is on tour in the US for the first time outside of Italy as an effort to bring comfort and hope to those in need. St. Jude's remains are currently housed under the altar of St. Joseph in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome in a tomb that also houses the remains of the Apostle Simon. Regarded as the patron saint of lost or impossible causes, this visit of relics offers a unique opportunity to experience a connection with one of the most venerated figures in Christian History. Event: Catechetical Institute February Courses
The Catechetical Institute (CI) at the School of Theological Studies at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary provides affordable on-line, non-credit courses designed for parish catechists, Catholic school teachers and all adult Catholics who want to learn more and grow in their Catholic Faith. CI will be offering the courses “Person of Jesus” and “New Testament” in February. The cost per course is $60.00.

Event: Candlemas: Flame of Love Feast Day Celebration
All are invited to join Flame of Love devotees joyfully gather on Candlemas, their Feast Day, shared with the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord to pray the rosary and ask for the grace of the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, who is Jesus Himself. Event: Veneration of the Arm of St. Jude the Apostle, on U.S. tour from the Vatican
St. Jude Church in Chalfont, PA is honored to be chosen to host this major relic of St. Jude Thaddeus, the Apostle of the Impossible. The relic will be available for veneration beginning at 1:00pm on February 2. Veneration will be suspended during Mass beginning at 7:00pm, with homilist Fr. Carlos Martins, Director of Treasures of the Church who is traveling with the relic, and will resume after Mass until 10:00pm.

As part of a religious response to the increasing gun violence on our neighborhood streets and the need to pray for peace in our City, the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul is opening its doors every Sunday from 5:30 to 6:30 PM for prayer. This focused and intentional period of prayer is open to all people of every Faith and Tradition. Together we pray that the Lord will come to our aid and bring an end to the epidemic violence that impacts all of us in Philadelphia and restore us with his peace.
