Evangelization Opportunity: Become a Cathedral Ambassador
The Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Center City conducts an evangelization ministry through its Cathedral Ambassadors. This enthusiastic group of trained Ambassadors staffs the Basilica throughout the week to greet visitors, answer questions and offer assistance. Our visitors come from all over the world and may be Catholic or non-Catholic. Cathedral Ambassadors provide an important personal presence in the Basilica and they give witness to the love and beauty of Christ and His Church.
More details: Cathedral Ambassadors are assigned 4-hour shifts. The schedule is flexible with assignments of one day or more a month. Event: The Institute for Christian Formation presents "Foundations of the Catholic Faith: A Journey Through the Catechism"
The Institute for Christian Formation (ICF) at the School of Theological Studies (STS) at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary seeks to provide participants with an opportunity to enhance their understanding of Catholic doctrine as found in the “Catechism of the Catholic Church” and is an invitation to ongoing conversion of heart in the company of brothers and sisters sharing a desire to grow in faith. ICF has in-person sessions on eight Tuesday evenings each Spring and Fall. A certificate will be awarded upon completion of all four seasons. A new group will begin in January 2025. The cost is $270.00 per season.

Speakers: Experienced guide and scholar, Shafik Khbeis, will offer a virtual Nativity Story accompanied by images he has captured at specific sites in the Holy Land. A free will offering is appreciated to help Shafik provide for his family until he can resume his full-time work as a professional tour manager and guide. Although Shafik will present through Zoom, the rest of us are gathering in person for this event.

Join us at St. Margaret of Antioch parish’s (Narberth) Bereavement Support Group. It is Christ-centered and rooted in Catholic tradition, conveying God’s consolation through scripture, prayer, reflection, and sharing our faith. It is for people grieving the loss of a loved one, no matter how long ago. Many have also lost loved ones during and since the pandemic. This group will help people share the journey of sorrow, process grief, and grow spiritually. The group will run for 6 weeks (every other week) from 7-8:30 pm in the in the parish Annex. The cost is $8 for the Participant Journal, paid at the first session. The group facilitator is a registered nurse who was previously the Bereavement Ministry Director at the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
