While it is a big loss to the Office for the New Evangelization, Paola has the competence, gifts and love for Christ that will allow her to flourish in this new role and bear great fruit in the Kensington community. Event: Arise! Youth Evenings of Adoration

An Arise! Youth Evening of Adoration is an evening of Encounter sponsored by the Office for Ministry with Youth and collaborating parishes. It is an encounter with Christ in the Eucharist, the mercy of the Father through the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and the Holy Spirit in the communion of prayer with an Intercessory Prayer Team. Event: The Institute for Christian Formation presents "Foundations of the Catholic Faith: A Journey Through the Catechism"

The Institute for Christian Formation (ICF) at the School of Theological Studies (STS) at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary seeks to provide participants with an opportunity to enhance their understanding of Catholic doctrine as found in the “Catechism of the Catholic Church” and is an invitation to ongoing conversion of heart in the company of brothers and sisters sharing a desire to grow in faith. ICF has in-person sessions on eight Tuesday evenings each Spring and Fall. A certificate will be awarded upon completion of all four seasons. A new group will begin in January 2025. Event: How the Share the Kerygma: Catechist Training

“Kerygma” is the Greek word that the Church uses to refer to the proclamation of the core message of the Gospel. This core proclamation has its own power to change hearts and win souls for Jesus Christ. In recent years, the Church is asking us to recover the kerygma and put it once again at the center of catechesis. During this training, catechists will learn simple tools for proclaiming the kerygma in their classrooms, creating the conditions for students to have a personal encounter with the living Jesus.
