Event: Opening Mass of the Jubilee Year, Pilgrims of Hope on the Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph
All are invited to come as pilgrims of hope and then return with the message of the Jubilee year to spread throughout the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Before Mass, all will gather in Sister Cities Park across the street from the main entrance to the Cathedral Basilica. A ceremonial cross will lead the “Pilgrims of Hope” to the main entrance of the Cathedral Basilica at which point the Archbishop will invite all to venerate it. This is followed by a commemoration of Baptism. The ceremonial cross will be placed in the Cathedral Basilica all throughout the Jubilee Year.

Event: The Institute for Christian Formation presents "Foundations of the Catholic Faith: A Journey Through the Catechism"
The Institute for Christian Formation (ICF) at the School of Theological Studies (STS) at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary seeks to provide participants with an opportunity to enhance their understanding of Catholic doctrine as found in the “Catechism of the Catholic Church” and is an invitation to ongoing conversion of heart in the company of brothers and sisters sharing a desire to grow in faith. ICF has in-person sessions on eight Tuesday evenings each Spring and Fall. A certificate will be awarded upon completion of all four seasons. A new group will begin in January 2025. The cost is $270.00 per season.
