Event:  The Holy Shroud of Turin, a Silent Witness of the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ (Power Point Presentation).  Along with this presentation, a life-size replica of the Holy Shroud, and a two-foot statue, showing the position of the body of Christ when He was wrapped in the Holy Shroud,  will be displayed.  There is no entrance fee; a basket will be available for those who may wish to make a free-will donation.

Exactly identical in size to the original Michelangelo Pietá masterpiece in St. Peter’s Basilica, yet accessible for pilgrims, visitors and art  enthusiasts alike! This perfect re-creation will reside in the lower chapel of St. Bede the Venerable Church for all to view and venerate.

This traditional liturgy invokes the guidance of the Holy Spirit upon the Bench and Bar of the Metropolitan Philadelphia legal community as we begin a new judicial year. It is a moment of reflection, collegial fellowship, and shared commitment to justice. 
Presider & Celebrant: Most Reverend Michael Fitzgerald, Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia, retired, and a member of the Pennsylvania Bar, will preside. The principal celebrant and homilist will be the Reverend Thomas Betz, O.F.M. Cap., Pastor of St. John the Evangelist Parish and also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar.

The Catechetical Institute (CI) at the School of Theological Studies (STS) at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary provides affordable on-line, non-credit courses designed for parish catechists, Catholic school teachers and all adult Catholics who want to learn more and grow in their Catholic Faith.
