Looking for peace?
There is a lot of turmoil in the world…and sometimes even in our families and in our own hearts. Come and learn about the single most effective way to bring God's peace into your life: the Sacrament of Reconciliation. No matter how long it has been since you've been to confession, consider attending the Forgiven series. Come and ask your questions, learn how this sacrament of healing sets you free, and discover how it can bring profound peace to your life, your relationships and even to the world.
Find a group! Parishes throughout the Archdiocese are offering the 3-part Forgiven series this Lent. Check your parish bulletin and/or website for dates and times. Click the video above to watch the 2-minute trailer.

Our Missionary of Mercy
The Archdiocese of Philadelphia rejoices to have one of her own priests, Rev. Msgr. George A. Majoros, appointed by the Holy Father to the ministry of Missionary of Mercy. The Missionaries of Mercy have been commissioned to “hear confessions, and preach on behalf of and promote the Sacrament of Reconciliation.” In addition, they have the authority, granted by the Holy Father, to pardon these sins reserved to the Holy See:
- Profaning the Eucharistic species by taking them away or keeping them for a sacrilegious purpose;
- Use of physical force against the Roman Pontiff;
- Absolution of an accomplice in a sin against the Sixth Commandment of the Decalogue;
- A direct violation against the sacramental seal by a confessor;
- The recording by means of a technical device of what the priest or the penitent says in a Sacramental Confession (whether real or simulated), or the divulgation of such a recording through the means of social communication
Msgr. Majoros will hear confessions on the first Sunday of each month at 5:30pm at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia.

Making Missionary Disciples Workshop

Fr. Carl Gismondi, FSSP will give a series of talks on St. Louis de Montfort’s True Devotion to Mary on four consecutive Tuesdays beginning on March 3rd at 7:00 pm. Fr. Gismondi will provide an in-depth explanation of St. Louis de Montfort’s book and his method of total consecration to Jesus through Mary. Traditionally, the consecration is done after 33 days of prayer and preparation. Fr Gismondi’s talks are scheduled to coincide with the 33-day preparation for the consecration on March 25th. Copies of De Montfort’s book True Devotion to Mary will be available for a donation at the first talk.

High School Students, register for the Inaugural Workshop of the Young Catholic Leaders Project on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania. The first session, On Reconciling Science & Religion, will take place on Saturday March 21st, featuring two keynote lectures by world-renowned Catholic scientists and speakers, breakout seminars with peers and Collegium Institute facilitators, an interactive activity on science-faith-and-modern film, and a panel discussion on vocations in science, medicine, and engineering.

Event: “Learning to Forgive Amidst Heartache,” an Evening of Reflection led by Jennifer Hubbard.
Jennifer Hubbard’s life was forever changed on the day of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, CT. On December 14, 2012, Jennifer was the mother of two children in that school, 8 year old Frederick, and 6 year old Catherine. Catherine was one of twenty 1st graders and six adults who lost their lives that day. Jennifer shares a message about the mercy and hope that God provides even in the face of unimaginable life events. She shares how she turned to her faith to find peace.
